by Stefan Bielinski Engeltie Burger probably was born within a few years of 1700. Perhaps her parent's names were "Nicholas" and "Rebecca?" In June 1721, she married cooper Roeloff Kidney at the Albany Dutch church. Over the next twenty-seven years, the marriage had produced thirteen children. Raising one of the largest nuclear families in early Albany history, these Kidneys lived in Albany's first ward. The name of Engeltie Burger Kidney dropped from Albany rolls following the birth of her daughter in April 1748. Her husband may have lived much longer! notes
