John T. B. Graham

John Ten Broeck Graham was born in July 1787 and christened at the Albany Presbyterian church. He was the son of Theodorus V.W. and Magdalena Ten Broeck Graham. This eldest son of an elite family was named for his mother's father a prominent local and state official.

Young John is said to have graduated from Columbia University in 1804.

He appears to have been an officer in the Albany County militia.

He became an attorney who shared a home with his parents at 5 and then 225 North Market Street.

Perhaps he was a bachelor.

In 1817, he was identified as the secretary of the Albany Presbytery.

John Ten Broeck Graham Esq. lived but thirty-one years. He died in July 1818. Letters of administration were issued on his estate at the end of the month. Both his father and grandfather survived until 1822.
