Jannetje Hogan was born in December 1747. She was the daughter of Albany residents William Jr. and Susanna Lansing Hogan. As the daughter of a blacksmith and sometime Rensselaerswyck farmer, Jannetje could expect that her marriage would cement her ties to the community's production or service class societies.
Jannetje Hogan Bradt was accounted for in her husband's household on the censuses of 1790, 1800, and 1810. After that, her name dropped from community rolls.
