Cahtarina grew up in a large family on her father's substantial South Greenbush farm.
This Yates family also lived on the East Manor while Christopher kept a shop and stables in the city of Albany. In 1790, they were living in Rensselaerswyck where their household was served by three slaves. Catharina probably had passed on by 1800. Her youngest son, Christopher C. Yates, became a prominent Albany physician.
The life of Catharina Lansing Yates is CAP biography number 3193. This profile is derived chiefly from family and community-based resources.
