Hilletie Lookermans Muller
Spelled and referred to variously, furure matriarch Hilletie Lookermans was born during the middle decades of the seventeenth century. She probably was the daughter of New Netherland pioneer Pieter Lookermans, Sr. and the sister of his same named son - both of whom were one-time residents of Beverwyck/Albany.
By 1680, Hilletie had become the wife of Cornelis Stephense Muller (aka Mulder). By the early 1700s, the marriage had produced at least eleven children most of whom were christened at the Albany Dutch church where she was a member. Sponsors for her children included some of the most prominent men in the community.
