Isaac Ja. Lansing

by

This Isaac Ja. Lansing was born in October 1725. He was the youngest son of Albany residents Jacob G. and Helena Glen Lansing. His twin sister Elsie Lansing died in 1730. Isaac grew up a younger son in the large family of a long-lived Pearl Street silversmith and businessman.

By 1746, he had married Albany native Anna Van Woert. By 1763, seven children had been christened at the Albany Dutch church - although the couple do not seem to have been married there.

Substantial qualitative information exists for "Isaac Lansing" as a number of same-named individuals are at-risk in Albany County during the second half of the eighteenth century. This sketch organinizes material focused specifically on Isaac Ja. Lansing.

Unwilling to commit existing qualitative material to the life of this Isaac Ja. Lansing, we move on for now.
