Stefan Bielinski

Alida Pruyn was the wife of Frans Janse Pruyn and matriarch of the Albany Pruyn family.

By 1665, she had married Frans Janse and had settled in Albany. Eleven of her children were baptized in the Albany Dutch church between 1665 and 1688 where she was a member.

During the last quarter of the seventeenth century, these Pruyns were second ward mainstays as Frans Janse supported his family as a tailor/trader.

Alida Pruyn died on September 20, 1704. Three days later, she was buried from the Albany Dutch church.
