In November 1762, she was left a house and lot and other property in the will of her uncle, Jacob Visscher.
Initially, these Rosebooms lived in a comfortable house in Albany's first ward. After that, the name of Geertruy Switts Roseboom seems to be absent from Albany rolls. Her husband survived the American Revolution and lived at least into the 1780s.
