by Stefan Bielinski Tryntje Carstens was the wife of Carsten Frederickse - one of the founders of the Albany Myndertse or Van Iveren family. She was married by December 1667 when their Albany home was burgularized by a soldier. Four children, aged twenty to nine, were named in their joint will filed in July 1689. Tryntje was a widow when she was identified as the head of the household in 1697. That home was next to the house of her brother-in-law. Her first ward home was listed on the city assessment roll in 1702. Tryntie Carstens Van Iveren was buried from the Albany Dutch church in February 1703. notes
