Anna Van Ness De Ridder

Anna Van Ness was born during the late 1660s. She was the daughter of Albany-area resident Hendrick Van Ness and his first wife, Anna Everts Van Ness. She grew up in Rensselaerswyck on her father's farm.

In April 1688, she married newcomer schoolteacher Evert De Ridder at the Albany Dutch church where she was a member. By 1713, eleven of her children had been christened in Albany.

These De Ridders lived for a time in Rensselaerswyck and in Albany where De Ridder also owned property in the third ward.

Still in her early forties, Anna Van Ness De Ridder was not heard from after the birth of her eleventh child!
