Teunis Dirckse Van Vechten
In 1697, his budding household was configured on the Albany census. In June 1699, he was cited for trading without possessing the freedom of Albany. In that year, he joined with his neighbors in swearing allegiance to the king of England. A few years later, Teunis Dirckse was identified as a resident of Loonenburgh.
Teunis Dirckse Van Vechten was last mentioned in the Albany record of his son's baptism in June 1707.
Sources: The life of Teunis Dirckse Van Vechten is CAP biography number 6049. This sketch is derived chiefly from family and community-based resources. An individual of the same name had a farm in Greenbush a generation or two earlier. Perhaps the same-named resident of what became Greene County was a separate person as well!
