Anna Wyngaert Sickles

Anna Wyngaert was born in May 1701. She was the first daughter born to the marriage of Albany residents Jacob L. and Maria Quackenbush Sickles. She grew up in a large family in the third ward but suffered the death of her father in 1727.

In July 1728, she married Zacharias Sickles at the Albany Dutch church. By 1745, ten children including two sets of twins had been christened at that church.

This Sickles family lived in Albany where Zacharias was a city bellringer and watchman.

Their marriage was cut short as Anna Wyngaert Sickles was buried from the church in August 1746. She had lived but forty-five years.
