The New York Army National Guard
The New York Army National Guard, the New York Air National Guard, and the New York State Naval Militia provide critical reserves to the military forces of the United States.
For the purpose of this exhibition, the New York State Museum focuses on the New York Army National Guard. The New York Army National Guard was the first of the three reserve forces to be established. For the sake of simplicity and continuity of subject, the exhibition will only address the New York Army National Guard stories and history.
