Paleobotany Collection
This collection consists of the NYSM collection and the Binghamton University collection which, together, comprise the largest collection of Middle Devonian fossil plant material in North America.

The Paleontology Collection
includes a wealth of fossil and collateral lithologic specimens from New York State as well as material from the Paleozoic of Indiana, Wisconsin, Vermont, Massachusetts, Maine, Quebec, Maritime Canada, Brazil, and the Falkland Islands.
