Ongoing investment from individuals leverages corporate and foundation support.
- Increased the number of graduates from Albany’s public high schools
- Broken the cycle of low scholastic achievement in many families
- Mentored seniors to become the first family member(s) to attend college
- Improved basic literacy skills and core competencies at all grade levels
- Facilitated computer accessibility and enhanced computer literacy
- Enabled students to be academically competitive with their peers
- Provided teens with college preparation resources (NYS Regents and SAT)
- Conducted out-of-town college visits for high school students
- Developed financial literacy and money management skills
- Provided scholarships for students to participate in our educational summer programs
- Provided a safe, nurturing environment as an alternative to unsupervised after-school hours
- Opened young minds to diverse cultural experiences and global perspectives
- Enhanced self esteem, knowledge of their own heritage, and inter-peer relationships
- Inspired passion for life-long learning

The future is now. We invite you to invest in our young people and partner with the Museum to:
- Increase the number of students served each academic year
- Continue to graduate 100 percent of high school seniors participating in the programs
- Exceed the 92 percent college admission rate
- Develop a platform to introduce tomorrow’s leaders to science and technology
- Reverse the trend of aversion to academic achievement among teens
- Sustain, build on, and expand the fundamental services provided to city youth
- Expand the Discovery Squad teen program into a year-round educational work venture
