Field Trip to the NYSM: Commemorating the 19th Amendment Centennial

The passage of women's suffrage in New York State in 1917 provided momentum for the national suffrage movement, which finally succeeded in passage of the 19th Amendment in 1920. As we commemorate the centennial of the amendment, learn about artifacts in the New York State Museum collection that were used in the fight for "Votes for Women" here and nationally.
