This special exhibition will transform the museum's fourth floor into Storytown where "can-made" fairytales, fables and fantasies will help turn the page in our fight against hunger. Bring canned goods to the exhibition and use them as votes to help your favorite structure win the prestigious Community Choice Award.
After being on display in the New York State Museum, these well-balanced works of art will feed much more than the imagination, as each can will be donated to the Food Pantries for the Capital District.
We know that, with your help, this year’s Canstruction story will have a happy ending.
Canstruction is a friendly design competition fighting hunger in cities all over America. Here in the Capital Region, it brings together teams of local professionals in the AEC industry, challenging them to imagine and bring to life structures made completely of canned food goods – we call them “canstructures”.
