Fan detail two

Dancers use fans to cool themselves during dance competitions and festivals. This fan is made using tail feathers of a wild turkey. "The turkey is also a symbol that is on our Stockbridge- Munsee Band of Mohicans Flag." Larry creates fans and other items used during dance competitions at Powwows around the country and says that he "only makes function things, non- decorative" Although his work is functional he also adds a decorative touch by incorporating traditional symbols of creation and life.
