Headdress detail one

Tuscarora style headdress, called Gustoweh by the Haudenosaunee. Haudenosaunee is what the Six Nations Iroquois Confederacy call themselves. The Gustoweh is made with a wooden frame, covered with cloth. The brim is typically covered with silver or beadwork. Todd used a beaded band that he made using a loom. Turkey feathers are split and sewn to the crown in the traditional fashion of the Tuscarora. The original Five Nations, the Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida and Mohawk incorporate eagle feathers in various ways to identify each Nation.
