Each year from 1997 to 2000, thanks to the efforts of the New York State Regional Publishers Association, a poster announcing New York State History Month has been produced.
In November of this year, the New York State Museum is opening an extraordinary new exhibit gallery with a statewide cultural tourism focus - Windows on New York. In celebration of that event, the State Museum is sponsoring a brand new History Month poster for 2001.
The contributions of a celebrated regional artist to the design of each poster has been the hallmark of the series, and that tradition is continued with the image featured this year, graciously provided by Leonard Tantillo.

You may obtain one free display poster (11" x 13") by sending a request to the address below. For organizations needing additional copies of the display poster for programs or internal distributions, please contact us identifying the need and the number and we will do our best to accommodate you.
