Discovery Place
Volunteer in Discovery Place, our hands-on learning center for children. Children from pre-school to eighth grade enjoy this special area of the State Museum set aside just for them. Volunteers assist staff with creative program ideas, supervision, interacting with children, demonstration and instruction.
Just of few of the types of activities our Discovery Place volunteers are involved with:
- Read and tell stories to our young audience
- Plan, design and implement arts and craft activities
- Assist the children with the many hands on activities the Discovery Place has to offer
