Mammals Revealed - Discovery and Documentation of Secretive Creatures

Bears

While we have only three species of bears in North America, there are many shades in-between. Black bears, in particular, are poorly named as they can also be shades of brown, cinnamon, blonde, blue and white. Artist Consie Powell had a leg up on this project as she has spent years sketching bears in the forest with her husband, a mammalogist specializing in bears.
