Learn about the birds who stay in New York state during winter. Then learn to make your own bird feeder using some simple supplies to help your neighborhood’s feathered friends.

Craft materials needed:

  • Peanut butter, almond butter, or vegetable shortening
  • String (at least 1 yard)
  • Scissors
  • Plain, non-sugar and non-colored cereal
  • Bird seed
  • Cardboard toilet paper roll
  • Hole puncher
