A joint presentation of the Carey Institute and Close Encounters With Music creates the 8th annual Catskill High Peaks Music Festival. The whole premise of this festival is for distinguished faculty artists to mentor and share the stage with outstanding young musicians from around the world. For ten days, this group performs for audiences around the Capital Region. This year’s concert features remarkable composers who stormed the barricades and helped revolutionize the place of women in the arts as it celebrates the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage in New York State.
