The NYS Museum invites you to get creative using everyday objects to make unique art projects, crafts and activities! Each Friday, a staff member will guide you on an activity demonstration or post directions to help you make something special! Look just like the beautiful Lady Liberty with these craft activities.

Supplies

CROWN

  • Paper plate
  • Green and black marker, crayon, or colored pencil
  • Green paper (or white paper that can be colored in)
  • Hole punch
  • Yarn or string (length of 2 feet or more)
  • Scissors
  • Tape or glue

TORCH

  • Toilet paper roll
  • Tissue paper or construction paper (red, orange, and/or yellow)
  • Green paper (green paint or white paper colored green will also work)
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Tape or glue
