Everyone has seen a fossil, from simple corals to elaborate dinosaur skeletons. But how do fossils form? State Paleontologist, Dr. Lisa Amati will explain the different ways organisms and their activities can become fossilized. After the talk, participants can practice identifying the different fossilization processes on sets of real fossils.
This program includes a 20 minute talk and Dr. Amati will be happy to answer any questions following the presentation. Participants are welcomed to bring their lunches.
