Malacology
This collection, which is administratively under the care of the curator of higher vertebrates, has recently been reactivated by the appointment of Eileen Jokinen as Adjunct Curator of Molluscs. The collection consists of large series of freshwater gastropods and bivalves in addition to the Blinn Collection of marine shells. Recent acquisition of the Cornell University collection of central New York aquatic molluscs has given the Museum's malacological holdings increased depth and importance.
