Schuyler Flatts Burial Ground Project: Public Meeting and Artist Presentation

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

The Schuyler Flatts Burial Ground Project is an effort to bury the discovered remains of 14 formerly enslaved Africans with dignity and respect. State Museum scientists conducted bioarchaeological analysis on the remains and determined the remains are about 200 years old and represent 6 women, 1 man, 2 children, and 5 infants.

A public meeting will be held on April 30 at 1:00pm to educate the community about the project and meet the artists creating the burial containers.
