My research background is in structural geology and stratigraphy, with a focus on subsurface geologic mapping and modeling. I use a variety of geologic data types and methods to understand how Earth's layers and features have formed, shifted, and interacted over time. My research incorporates geologic and structural mapping, core studies, laboratory analyses, sequence stratigraphy, geophysics, and advanced computer modeling to create accurate representations of New York’s geology. This research is important for improving our understanding of New York’s geologic history and natural resources, and for supporting applied geosciences.
