Battle of Fort Montgomery 240th Anniversary Commemoration

The Fort Montgomery State Historic Site will be commemorating the 240th anniversary of the Oct. 6, 1777 Revolutionary Battle. In conjunction with this event, two historic lectures will be held on Sept. 28th at 7 pm and Oct.5th at 7pm.
On October 7th, The site will open at 10 am as well as the Visitor’s Center and Museum/Media/Bookstore areas. On the grounds visitors can tour this unique Revolutionary site, interact with reenactors at their camp sites, witness drilling, cooking, sewing and cannon firing. In addition there will be several artisans showing their crafts and several children’s activities.
At 3pm there will be a battle reenactment with several units taking part. Camp closes to the public at 4 pm.
