Propose a Paper for the 2019-2020 Colloquium Series
Proposals are now being accepted for the Omohundro Institute 2019-2020 colloquium series
The OI sponsors four or five colloquia a semester in order to discuss a variety of projects in progress. While graduate students are warmly encouraged to attend all colloquia, presenting scholars must have completed their doctoral degrees. All meetings are held at the OI, on the campus of William & Mary.
The OI provides overnight lodging and modest travel support to the presenting scholars. Persons interested in presenting their work are invited to contact Karin Wulf atOIDirector@wm.edu by April 15.
The last colloquium of the 2018-2019 academic year will take place on Tuesday, April 16, at 7:00. Julia Gossard (Utah State University) will present "The Casket Girls of French Louisiana: Youth Migration in Vast Early America."
OI Council Nominations
The OI Council invites nominations for the class of 2019-2022. We welcome nominations of scholars working in early American history, literature, or related fields in both the United States and abroad. Councilors serve for a three-year term; normally no more than one person from an institution serves on the Council at a time. You can find a full roster of the current Council here.
Nominations will be accepted through April 15. Questions can be directed to Marisa Fuentes, chair of the Nominating Committee.
