Join us for a vibrant and meaningful celebration of LGBTQ+ history, culture, and community as the New York State Museum proudly unveils its newest exhibition: New York Pride: The Fight for Marriage Equality. This special day of festivities is open to all and designed to engage visitors of every age with hands-on activities, a powerful documentary screening, and thought-provoking conversation. Honoring the past, celebrating the present, and inspiring the future, this event invites everyone to reflect on the journey toward love, equity, and justice—and to take pride in the progress we’ve made together.

Kick off the day with an array of joyful, hands-on activities inspired by our collections! Enjoy coloring pages, pin-making, sash and fan designing, and more. With upbeat music, games, and storytime with the New York State Library, this session is perfect for kids and kids-at-heart!
