80 Museums Selected to Receive Customized Collections Assessments

The Foundation of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (FAIC) and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) announced that 80 institutions have been selected to participate in the 2018 Collections Assessment for Preservation (CAP) program(link is external).
The 2018 participating museums(link is external) represent a diverse array of disciplines, from the St. George Village Botanical Garden on St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, to the Motown Historical Museum in Detroit, Michigan. These institutions serve communities in 44 states, the District of Columbia, and two U.S. territories, and include four museums in federally declared disaster areas, which received expedited Emergency CAP assistance.
