Harvard University President and renowned historian Dr. Drew Gilpin Faust will be presenting her lecture "From the Civil War to 9/11: American Confronts Mass Death" at the National September 11 Memorial and Museum June 7th at 7:00pm.
Harvard University President Drew Gilpin Faust first chronicled the impact of mass death on American society in her national bestselling book “This Republic of Suffering: Death and the American Civil War.”
In this new program, Dr. Faust traces this change through later wars and reflects on how this history shaped the American response to 9/11.
