The William G. Pomeroy Foundation has launched our newest grant program to promote cultural tourism and commemorate the history of transportation canals in the United States.

Markers must be installed near a canal or former canal. The marker’s text must commemorate a historical fact that occurred more than 50 years from the year of application. Currently, that is 1968. Read more...
