Army Heritage Center Foundation Presents: "The Medal of Honor - Lessons of Core Values" Webinar Series

The Army Heritage Center Foundation will present a seven-part webinar series this fall that focuses on the shared values and qualities of recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor, the nation's highest award that can be given to an individual serving in the Armed Services of the United States. Medal of Honor recipients will discuss how courage, commitment, sacrifice, citizenship, integrity, and patriotism can be practiced and exemplified in daily life. They will help define leadership, explain how they overcame obstacles, and reflect on their experiences that demonstrated commitment and sacrifice to others. Library of Congress Hosts Weekly Online Office Hours

The Learning and Innovation team hosts Online Office Hours to connect with educators and share Library of Congress resources. These Office Hours are informal and include a lot of time for questions and conversation! In the sessions, Library specialists make a brief presentation (e.g., about an online Library resource, tool, collection, or subject area) and offer suggestions for classroom use. Past Office Hours have focused on topics like poetry resources, baseball-related collections, the Chronicling America newspaper database, local history resources, primary sources related to science, a tour of the Thomas Jefferson building, and historical children's books. Upcoming sessions will focus on math, civics, history, and more. Even if you can't join live, slides and recordings of the events will be posted on the Online Office Hours page of the Library of Congress website. Find more details, including the schedule, information on past sessions, and how to connect, here. Contact Kaleena Black, kblack@loc.gov.
