New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) Offers Advanced Placement Summer Institute for History Teachers
New York State United Teachers (NYSUT), the statewide teachers' union, is sponsoring an Advanced Placement® Summer Institute on July 17-20, 2017 in the Conference Center at the NYSUT Headquarters, located at 800 Troy Schenectady Road, Latham, New York. Classes are held from 8 a.m. 4 p.m. This year, AP® US History and AP® World History are being offered.
These 30 hour inservice courses will help prepare:
Aspiring certified history teachers looking for employment
New AP teachers in the process of developing or refining an AP course
Experienced AP teachers seeking to learn new strategies and share best practices
Tuition is $725 and includes course materials, continental breakfast and lunch each day. Deadline for registration is June 30th. No registrations can be accepted without payment or purchase order number. Please note: Districts will be billed for purchase orders upon receipt, and payment is due by the start of the institute, July 17.
NYSUT Education & Learning Trust reserves the right to cancel any course because of insufficient enrollment or for any other reason. Institutes with low enrollments will be canceled on July 3, and all fees refunded.
