Join the NYG&B this fall for three days of in-person research and support in Albany with the people who know New York best. Your on-site tour includes personal consultations during your research at the New York State Library (NYSL) and the New York State Archives (NYSA). And to make the most of your time in Albany, you’ll receive pre-tour orientations and an advance-personal consultation prior to the October trip.
We will help you navigate NYSA’s more than 270 million records from New York’s colonial and state governments, dating from 1630 to the present. And with NYSL’s collections now numbering more than 20 million items, getting expert guidance on how to hone your research skills will be a gamechanger. Both repositories are rich in material available nowhere else pertaining to those who have lived in New York State.
In addition to in-depth, personalized consultations to guide you in your research, the tour features social events to build community with your fellow researchers. A room block at the Albany Hilton with reduced rates has also been reserved for registrants. Read more...
