The New York State Museum will screen the critically acclaimed 1970 documentary, Woodstock, about the legendary three-day 1969 music festival in Bethel, New York. Directed by Michael Wadleigh, the film chronicles the iconic event in unflinching detail, from the festival’s inception all the way through to the unexpected air-delivery of food and medical supplies by the National Guard. The film features interviews with artists and footage of performances by Joan Baez, Jefferson Airplane, Santana, The Who, Joe Cocker, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and more.
